It's been almost three months since we first
brought you front cover art for CBS DVD's
January 20th release of
My Three Sons - Season 1, Volume 2 on DVD. Now the studio, through distributor Paramount Home Entertainment, has sent out a look at the back of the box, too. We've got that for you below.
Fans who purchased the first volume of the first season are well aware of the fact that,
like The Fugitive on its most recent DVD release, the first
MTS volume had its background musical score almost entirely removed, and replaced with a new composition meant to resemble the era, but which doesn't ring well with people who truly know the show (i.e., most consumers of these titles). The specs on the new release, as you can see in the close-up below, show that "Music has been changed for this home entertainment version." All expectations are that this will likely be changed to the same degree as the previous release of
My Three Sons; conversations with the studio haven't given us reason to believe otherwise.
