The other day we
reported about HBO Video's announcement that
Get Smart - The Complete Series would come to general retail at last, on
December 9th. In fact, you can now
pre-order that via Amazon, where the current cost is $139.99 after discount (subject to change at Amazon's discretion). Of course, you'll have to wait 3 months to take delivery of that.
Time Life, who has been selling this identical package for a couple of years now, has decided to be a bit more competitive with this, and try to entice you into getting the package from them, a bit sooner! Now through September 30th, you can
order The Complete Series from Time Life, using the coupon code "GETSMART" during the checkout process, and get 25% off their normal price! That means you'll only pay $149.96...still ten dollars more than the Amazon price, but that means you only pay a few bucks a month to enjoy it 3 months sooner! Sounds like a reasonable trade-off, doesn't it?
That GETSMART coupon code works for Canadians, too, by the way. And not just on
Get Smart - The Complete Series, but on ALL
Get Smart DVD items sold at Time Life's online websites for the USA and Canada, through the end of this month (September 30th). That includes the individual season sets, too. And for those of you who prefer to collect this series as separate seasons, you're in luck because Time Life has just begun selling the rest of the seasons individually, as well! The below links are for the USA, and the Canadian Time Life site will begin offering Seasons 2 through 5 starting this coming Tuesday, we're told (and again, the GETSMART coupon code will work for those, too).
The five separate season set packages are $39.99 each, regularly, and using the GETSMART discount coupon code makes them come to $29.99 each through the end of this month. All of those separate releases will include the various bonus material which helped make this
an award-winning package. If you're a
Get Smart fan who hasn't picked this up yet, what are you waiting for?
NOTE: We're aware that the links on this page may sometimes take you to Time Life's video sales home page, rather than directly to the page the link describes. Time Life is working on that, but if it happens to you, then you can just close the new window or tab that opened when you clicked the link, and try again. It may take 2 or 3 tries, but the link WILL work. Apologies have been extended for any inconvenience.
