Back in September 2006 - two years ago, now! - Time Life
announced that they were working with HBO to release
Get Smart - The Complete Series on DVD, a 25-disc set that would not be available in stores for at least a year. Last November we
wrote about how Time Life's exclusive period had ended, but that HBO had not yet decided to announce the set for a general retail release. This past summer they did go ahead and release
Season 1 at retail, separately, but there was no sign yet of an in-store release of
The Complete Series. Until today!
This
award winning package, identical in box style and content (including all bonus material) to Time Life's version, will finally make it to a retailer near you on
December 9th. The list price is $199.95, which is the same pre-discount cost that
Time Life continues to sell it for.
