As you're probably aware, Amazon has posted a number of "pre-announcement" pre-order listings lately, allowing you lock in your copy of various upcoming TV-DVD titles which haven't actually been put on the schedule by the studio just yet. We've posted news about several of these in recent weeks, and we've found a number of new ones for you today. One of these is Warner Home Video's
Smallville - The Complete 8th Season on both
DVD and high-def
Blu-ray Disc. Since these products aren't officially announced at this time, their Amazon pre-order listings do not have a release date yet. Instead they each say "
This title has not yet been released. You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives." They do have pricing, though, showing $59.98 SRP for the standard DVD, and $79.98 SRP for the high-def BD version (but you can pre-purchase either of them now, reserving your copy at a discounted cost). No other details are available yet, nor anything resembling official studio-provided cover art. We'll update you, of course when more information becomes available. Stay tuned!
