Critical darling Skins is back with another season of Effy and Co.'s misadventures! Volume Four begins with the suicide of a girl named Sophia (Amberley Gridley) while she is high on MDMA at Thomas's club night. A police inspector (Pauline Quirke) questions the entire gang, and Thomas is expelled by the new headmaster (Chris Addison) for his unseemly connection to the incident. Thomas gives into temptation and sleeps with another girl, causing Pandora to break up with him. Meanwhile, Effy falls into a psychotic depression, JJ falls in love with a single mother, and Naomi and Emily have some baggage to sort through. With everyone so busy, is there ever time for school?
Wow! Our site webmaster and reviewer, Gord Lacey, just posted his
review the other day for the recently-released third volume, and today the BBC and distributor Warner Home Video have announced that
Skins - Volume 4 will make it to DVD on
January 11th. The 3-disc set will not only include the episodes, but also extras such as "
Skins Shorts," a Behind-the-Scenes featurette including interviews with the cast and crew, Trailers, and something Gord felt was missing from the third volume: Commentary tracks. Bravo, BBC! Here's a look at the package art:
