Grievously injured in the crash of an experimental aircraft, Colonel Steve Austin's shattered body is covertly rebuilt via the miracle of modern science known as bionics. Equipped with atomic-powered limbs that make him "better, stronger, faster" than the average mortal, Austin (Lee Majors) can now run at speeds exceeding 60 miles per hour, overturn cars with ease, and spot an encroaching enemy from over a mile away. Under the watchful eye of OSI director Oscar Goldman (Richard Anderson), Steve repays his debt to the taxpayers by taking on perilous missions of a highly classified nature.
The Six Million Dollar Man - The Complete Series
Familiar faces and exciting new foes dominate The Six Million Dollar Man's riveting SEASON 3. Back from the dead is Jaime Sommers (Lindsay Wagner), who can't remember her bionic soul mate. Emotions frayed, Steve keeps busy by retrieving the Liberty Bell and a feral child raised by wolves. Later, Austin goes mano a mano with the legendary Bigfoot in a clash for the ages. Reconnect with the bionic man in this 6-DVD set featuring all 21 uncut episodes and bonus features including the two-part premiere of The Bionic Woman spin-off series and more!
40-DVD set has been available from Time-Life
since 2010, and it still is of course (plus through the end of Nov. 26th, "Cyber Monday," you can get an additional discount
on orders at TL's online store!). But some fans are preferring to wait for the individual season sets to be broken out and made available in stores.
Now Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced that The Six Million Dollar Man - Season 3
, the middle year of the show's five-season run, is going to be available separate from the other seasons on February 19th
. The 6-DVD set is priced at $39.98 SRP, and includes two bonus episodes from The Bionic Woman
in the form of the 2-part story "Welcome Home, Jamie," which launched the fan-demanded spin-off series, and included Steve Austin in this first of many cross-overs between the two shows!
Also on board this release are Audio Commentaries by Director Cliff Bole on the episode "The Blue Flash," and Writer/Producer Kenny Johnson for both episodes of the two-part epic "The Secret of Bigfoot" (with Lindsay Wagner as "Jaime Sommers," Stefanie Powers and Severn Darden as "Shalon" and "Apploy," and André the Giant as "Bigfoot"). Note that the big Time-Life set's third season set includes a seventh disc with exclusive extras that are NOT found in this "wide" retail release; you can only get those from TL.
