Sony is asking fans
what they should release next, from this list of shows:
- The $treet
- Bette!
- Michael Hayes
- What's Happening Now!
- The Rookies
- Police Story
- Cupid
Unfortunately the poll is somewhat flawed in the way it's set up. You MUST choose 3 different shows, and each selection has to be made. I only want to vote for one of those shows, but I'm forced to select two others. This could give Sony results that don't reflect fans desires: 75% of people could select
Cupid as their first choice, with the remaining 25% selecting other shows. But what if 90% of the people selected
Police Story as their second choice? Would Sony interpret that to mean
Police Story would sell better than
Cupid? But if 90% of the 75% of the people that voted for
Cupid didn't want anything else on the list, then the secondary votes for
Police Story wouldn't really be valid, would they? Of course that's an imaginary scenario, but it illustrates the problem with forcing people to select three shows from a small list.
