Awards were given out for the top TV-DVD sets at the 2006 TV DVD Awards held at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza tonight. The winners were:
- Best 2000 Series - Lost: Season 1 (Buena Vista)
- Best 1990s Series - Seinfeld Seasons 5 & 6 (Sony Pictures)
- Best 1980s Series - Remington Steele: Seasons 4 & 5 (20th Century Fox)
- Best 1970s Series - The Bob Newhart Show: Season 2 (20th Century Fox)
- Best 1960s Series - The Munsters: Season 2 (Universal)
- Best 1950s Series - Adventures of Superman: Season 1 (Warner)
- Best Animated Series - The Simpsons: Season 7 (20th Century Fox)
- Best Children's Series - Dinosaurs: Seasons 1 & 2 (Buena Vista)
- Best Reality Series - Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (Buena Vista)
- Best Variety Series - Project Runway: Season 2 (Genius Products)
- Best One-Season Wonder - The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. (Warner)
- Mest Miniseries/Made-for-TV movie - From the Earth to the Moon (HBO)
- Best British TV Series - Doctor Who: Series 1 (BBC)
- Best TV Documentary - Ken Burns: American Lives (PBS/Paramount)
- Best Bonus Material - Lost: Season 1 (Buena Vista)
There was also a "Best in Show" award given out to the Seinfeld Seasons 5 & 6 giftset.

DVD producer David Naylor was all smiles as he accepted the awards for
Lost, winning both "Best 2000 Series" and "Best Bonus Materials," and
Remington Steele. Congrats to David for the recognition he deserves as arguably the top TV-DVD producer in the industry.
