Last night I was cruising the Paramount Home Entertainment press site (don't ask us for a link; it's password protected by the studio and requires fifty kinds of secret handshakes to get in there) and noticed that there was a new push by the studio to show off certain logos of certain television shows that have long been rumored to be coming to DVD...

Besides
90210, Melrose, Twin Peaks and
Hawaii Five-o, there are also new areas sectioned off for
Diagnosis Murder and for re-releases on DVD of popular Stephen King mini-series like
The Stand and
Langoliers. While
Diagnosis and
Hawaii have been Paramount properties for a while now, the other titles came under this studio's control in recent years when licenses to other studios (mostly Lionsgate or their subsidiary Artisan) ran out and the rights reverted over to Paramount (based on previous purchases of the companies that originally owned those properties and had licensed them out in the past).
When will we see new DVD releases of these properties? We don't know yet, although things are looking better and better...
