Today, Viacom purchased the 50% of Comedy Central it didn't already own making it the sole owner of the cable network. You're probably wondering why this is being mentioned here, since it doesn't have anything to do with DVDs, right? On the surface, it doesn't, but it raises a few questions. Does Warner Bros Home Video still retain the right to release
South Park on DVD, or is that now controlled by Paramount Home Entertainment? How will it affect other Comedy Central DVDs that might come out in the future? It's an interesting development in the already complex world of TV on DVD.
