A couple of weeks ago, TVShowsOnDVD quietly celebrated the 1-year anniversary of our
"What's The Hold-up?" FAQ, which started out on our Facebook fan page but which we
moved here to our main site this page April. You can always find it by looking through either the "Articles" or "FAQs" sections, which you'll find in the menu found on the left-hand side of any page at our site.
Since posting our last news story alerting readers about the "What's The Hold-up?" FAQ this past spring, at the time we moved it, we've updated the FAQ six times, including a new one today. Among the shows we've added entries for are
Ed, Brooklyn Bridge, Blossom, Freddy's Nightmares, Kung Fu: The Legend Continues, Wildfire, Logan's Run, Mister Peepers, Shazam!, Power Rangers (in its various forms) and the 1990 DiC production of
G.I. Joe.
We've also updated various entries, and we've had the good fortune to remove entries about
The Six Million Dollar Man, The Bionic Woman, Boy Meets World, Max Headroom and even
Doctor Who - The 1996 Movie, since new DVD announcements for each of these have occurred in the last six months!
As of today, that leaves 37 entries on the FAQ. Whenever we can get ahold of SPECIFIC information - RELIABLE info from a trusted, in-the-know source - about why a particular show is not getting DVD releases, we will add it to the FAQ. If the show you're interested in doesn't have release news or a release listing at our site, and isn't in the Hold-up FAQ, then we unfortunately don't know either way. But rest assured, we're always trying to find out! So please, keep an eye on that FAQ for updates, and be sure to make it your first place to check whenever you're wondering "why isn't such-and-such on DVD?"
