We
said it last year.
And the year before. And also
the year before that. You get the idea!
It's time for our annual reminder: here at TVShowsOnDVD, we don't do any April Fools' Day jokes. So you can take all of our news posts tomorrow completely at face value. We're not out to trick or confuse you, and we will treat tomorrow just like any other day of posting news. Sound good to you?
We've already got a few stories lined up for posting on April 1st, and since it's a new month we hope that a few of the studios will have some new TV-DVD titles to spring on us, announcement-wise. But if other websites (or, for that matter, any off-web news sources) put out any stories which sound a bit outrageous or just a bit unlikely, then maybe we should all just remember to look at the calendar and remember what the date is, all right?
You know, if *I* was the publicity person responsible for announcing a highly sought-after title (starting with the most in-demand ones, like
Batman or
The Wonder Years), or even to announce some big change in industry practice or policy, then I probably wouldn't pick April 1st to put that news out in the public eye, right? I'd assume people would think it was a joke, and not take it seriously. Hopefully all the info we see tomorrow is on the up-and-up, and we feel confident that we can trust it.
I'll see you in the morning with some serious news!
