From 2006 until just prior to
closing their doors late in 2008 (almost a year ago now), BCI Eclipse released a series of game show DVD sets. These best-of packages included favorite episodes from classic TV game shows such as
Match Game, The Price is Right, Password and all-star installments of
Family Feud. Now Mill Creek Entertainment, who has acquired the rights to various TV-DVD releases previously put out by the now-defunct BCI, has picked up the rights to these titles as well. On
February 2nd they will re-issue four of the same titles previously seen (so don't expect any different content), but at the new low price of just $14.98 SRP:
Each of those can be pre-ordered from Amazon for a discount at the above links. Package art hasn't been made available yet, but stay tuned for that (if previous Mill Creek acquisitions of former BCI titles are any indication, though, then don't expect it to change much...if at all). Could this mean that Mill Creek might release new titles for each of these shows? Anything is possible, but the studio hasn't given us any indication one way or the other. If we hear anything, though, we'll certainly let you know, so stay tuned!
