2011 has seen many great TV-DVD releases, with something to please everyone. A few examples just offhand are the final sets for legendary shows like Dallas, ER, Boy Meets World, and The Bullwinkle Show; first-ever DVD releases of classic programs like Car 54 Where Are You?, I'm Dickens He's Fenster, The Gene Autry Show and It Takes a Thief; plus classic cartoons such as MASK, JEM! and The Holograms, Robotech and Mister T. Also long-awaited releases for un-stalled programs which had been previously held up, like Barney Miller, The Donna Reed Show, Kojak and The Amazing Race. Not to mention the latest hit shows, in both standard and high-def Blu-ray formats, with great sets for series such as Smallville, Dexter, Modern Family and Doctor Who. If you couldn't find a TV-DVD to like in 2011, then you must not have been visiting our site! :)
This is the time of year for peace, happiness and brotherhood. However, sometimes a few people can get cross because we don't choose the right words to say in wishing them well at year's end. So we'll say it all and hopefully cover every one of our bases: Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah and Happy New Year! Gord and I hope that everybody understands that we wish the best for all of our readers, no matter what they celebrate (or don't celebrate) in December. And, though Gord probably wouldn't want me to bring it up, I'll mention here anyway that he's about to be a father for the first time. So let's wish him and his wife well for the coming of the baby...which could arrive any day now!
We've worked hard this year, so naturally we're going to take off for the holidays: Monday, December 26th and Monday, January 2nd we'll be observing Christmas and New Year's Day, spending time with our families and friends. We will, however, post news and other updates on Tuesday through Friday of the week between those days (but since most studios are taking time off, too, we don't expect to have TOO much for you!). On Tuesday January 3rd we'll resume our regular work week. We're looking forward to more terrific TV-DVDs in the new year, so stay tuned! In the meantime, no matter what you celebrate, please enjoy yourselves. And be safe!
