We've heard a LOT in the last month-and-a-half from fans disappointed in Warner Brothers' statement justifying the exclusion of two classic cartoon shorts from the mid-September release of Tom and Jerry - Spotlight Collection: Volume 3, due to racial stereotypes. On the other hand, we've heard some pro-Warner response as well, with some people approving of the omission.
This is an issue that goes far beyond a pair of Tom & Jerry cartoons, though: it affects a wide range of shows from television's earliest decades. We would like to know what YOU think about it all. My "DVD Guy" blog at TVGuide.com has been updated today with a new post, "Does 'Complete' Have To Include THAT?". The headline isn't meant to define my own opinion...which I freely share at the bottom of the piece.
But we want to know YOUR opinion, and we're sure the studios won't mind getting the input, either. Besides the customary comment area at the bottom of the blog, for your detailed feedback, I've also post a non-scientific poll next to the blog, where you can quickly and easily pick a choice that most closely matches your opinion.
