Site News - Comedy Central Preps DVD with Sketches from Chappelle's Show, Sarah Silverman, Drawn Together, Crank Yankers, Reno 911! & More

This morning Paramount Home Entertainment announces a new DVD titled "Comedy Central's Home Grown". This release combines sketches, bits and routines from various Comedy Central programs, including Chappelle's Show, The Sarah Silverman Program, Drawn Together, Crank Yankers, Reno 911!, Strangers With Candy and others. While at first glance it sounds like a sampler of the material you would find on the network (and for that purpose it certainly qualifies), the aim here seems to be to celebrate the biggest hit shows found on the cable network (and some of their stand-up comedy specials, too). Not to mention that it's a good way to re-purpose about 3 hours worth of material already found on DVD elsewhere. Still, it's something which might appeal to many people. It arrives on June 10th.
