CBS DVD and Paramount Home Entertainment have announced that on
August 25th they will release two "Special DVD Collection" titles, each containing a number of episodes from different television shows under the umbrella of these studios. These two titles are in the style of a pair
that released this past Tuesday, which were action and comedy based themes. The two new sets give us
Crime and Punishment, and take us
Beyond the Ordinary. Like the previous titles, these have already been available exclusively at Barnes & Noble stores; now they will be for sale at general retail.
TV Sets: Crime and Punishment brings you 4 episodes, one each from
Dexter ("Pilot"),
Hawaii Five-O ("Full Fathom Five"),
The Streets of San Francisco ("Thirty Year Pin") and
C.S.I.: New York ("Blink"). Running time on this single disc is 196 minutes. The video and audio specs will be in various formats, each according to the show portrayed. It is closed captioned for the hearing impaired. Front cover art is below.
TV Sets: Beyond The Ordinary brings you 4 episodes, one each from the original
Star Trek ("The Man Trap"),
Medium ("Pilot"),
The 4400 ("Pilot") and
Joan of Arcadia ("Pilot"). Running time on this single disc is 226 minutes. The video and audio specs will be in various formats, each according to the show portrayed. It is closed captioned for the hearing impaired. Front cover art is at the bottom. Pricing isn't available for these yet, but the previous titles were $14.98, so these are likely to be the same.
