Fox has announced plans to release
Bart Wars, a
Star Wars themed release timed for the opening of
Episode III (in theaters 5/19).
Big laughs come in one small package when four uproariously hilarious episodes from America's #1 TV family "The Simpsons" arrive in a special collection release.
"THE SIMPSONS" BART WARS. Perfectly timed to the opening of Star Wars Episode 3 in theatres 5/21/05, "THE SIMPSONS" BART WARS features four episodes that reference the Star Wars franchise as well as a special featurette.
Episodes include:
- Dog of Death (Season 3, Episode 19)
- Marge Be Not Proud (Season 7, Episode 11)
- The Secret War Of Lisa Simpson (Season 8, Episode 25)
- Mayored To The Mob (Season 10, Episode 9)
The single disc will retail for $14.98 US ($16.98 CAN) on
May 17. Expect full frame (1.33:1) video with English, Spanish and French Dolby Surround tracks (English/Spanish subtitles). A single bonus features rounds out the set: "The Making of Bart Wars: The Simpsons Strike Back." We'll have cover art when it's available.
We know it's not the season set people were hoping for, but Fox tells us that Season 6 will be released later in the year, and not the June date which was accidently posted to the
FoxTVDVD.com website.
