As you probably know, Amazon has been posting a series of new listings lately, taking pre-orders for upcoming titles which haven't actually been announced by the studio yet. One of the latest to be found is
The Simpsons - The Complete 12th Season on DVD, coming soon from from Fox Home Entertainment. Since the product isn't officially on the schedule so far, the Amazon pre-order listing doesn't have a release date. Instead it says "
This title has not yet been released. You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives." It does have pricing, though, showing $49.98 SRP (but you can place your pre-order right away, and lock in a copy at a discount).
Our thank to a reader who only signed his name as "Steven" for being the first to shoot us a note about this listing. No other details are available yet, but - unlike the similar titles up for early pre-order there - Amazon might just have some box art. We show it below; it's apparently featuring "Comic Book Guy" in a typical comics-inspired pose. However, for all we know this may not be the final package art, so take it with a grain of salt. We'll update you, of course, when final box art and official release information becomes available. Stay tuned!
