We've heard, from a reliable source, that we can expect The Simpsons - Season 11 sometime in August. This timeframe makes sense since Season 2 (2002), Season 3 (2003), Season 6 (2005), Season 8 (2006) and Season 10 (2007) were all released in August. Fans were upset Season 11 wasn't released in December, 2007 (since 2005 and 2006 received releases in both August and December); the December release was occupied by The Simpsons Movie instead. The producers of the show are heavily involved in the DVDs, so they fit their DVD work around their work on the show, which obviously takes priority.
While the August release looks probable, we remind you that this hasn't been announced by the studio, and could move. We'll bring you official word whenever the studio formally announces it.
