Back in October 2008, Warner Home Video released
Silverhawks - Season 1, Vol. 1 on DVD, much to the delight of fans. But apparently there wasn't enough of those fans, because sales simply weren't good enough on that title for retailers to want to stock follow-up releases on their shelves. Fans have hoped that the studio's MOD (manufacture on demand) program, the Warner Archive Collection, would step in and pick things up. So far we hadn't heard anything about plans for that, but thanks to reader Mark Vasquez that changed today!

- ISUMark - just read that Silverhawks & Tigersharks are going to be in the new Thundercats show. Can we finally get both shows via MOD?!

Wow, that's cool...the 1985
Thundercasts (which is already completely on DVD) was recently brought back to broadcast with a new remake version in 2011. And since the new show will incorporate material from the 1986
Silverhawks program and the 1987
Tigersharks show, then Warner sees this as a good opportunity to bring one or both of the unreleased/unfinished-on-DVD '80s shows to their Archive Collection! Nice. Of course, since Mark was told to ask about it at Facebook, too, he
did exactly that!
- Mark Anthony Vasquez - Now that the Silverhawks and Tigersharks are going to be involved at least in some form in the new Thundercats show I really hope WB takes advantage of the fanbase and will finish the Silverhawks and release Tigersharks via the MOD Service. We have been waiting for years!!
- Warner Archive Collection - There is good news on the horizon!
