This past June saw Sony's DVD release of the 7th and final season, but now the studio is putting them all together for one big, collectible set! This morning Sony Pictures Home Entertainment announced
The Shield - The Complete Series Collection, which "includes all 88 arresting episodes on 28 discs". That's a quote from the studio info, which says these come "
encased in a collectible 34-page bound anthology book filled with photos, quotes and a special letter from Shawn Ryan, the creator of the series." Note that this is announced only on the DVD format; no mention was made of a Blu-ray release.
But you won't get only the episodes. Sony also says it "
contains over 63 hours of amazing special features from all seven seasons", plus an "
additional bonus disc with two exclusive never-before-seen featurettes" The cost is $159.99 SRP, and it will be available on
