Scrubs first started getting released on DVD in 2005, well into the run of the series, and has been playing catch-up ever since. With the 7th (
and final) season set to premiere in September, we expected Disney/Buena Vista to catch up to the 6th Season on DVD around that time. It seems like that will be the case!
During the sixth season of
Scrubs, Elizabeth Banks had a recurring role, and guest stars included The Blue Man Group, Chris Daugherty (winner of
Survivor: Vanuatu), Dave Foley, Keri Russell, and Bruce Kirby, among others. Although a DVD release is technically not yet announced, we've spotted
a pre-order listing at Amazon.com for
Scrubs - The 6th Season on DVD. It shows a $39.99 list price (Amazon discounts it to $27.99 if you order right away), a ship date of
October 30th, and extras in the form of "exclusive bonus features, including alternate takes and bloopers" on a 3-DVD set.
We've contacted Disney/Buena Vista's marketing representatives, and they have confirmed that this is indeed the release date for that set. Stay tuned for the official studio announcement, plus cover art, in the not-too-distant future.
