It's pretty strange in "the biz," but every blue moon you miss something so completely that it takes a follow-up notice to bring it to your attention. In this case, it was word of a delay! Yes, the other day Warner Home Video of Canada sent out a delay notice alerting retailers and press that the October 30th release for
Scooby-Doo - Wooden Treasure Chest Giftset had been delayed until
November 13th.
So wow, we checked into this item, and sure enough it's a 5-DVD set compiling several already-released titles into a single, special package that can be seen (albeit thumbnail-sized) to the right. Cost is CA$74.98 SRP, but you can
pre-order it from Amazon.ca for $52.49 (although be aware that they are still showing the old release date at the moment). It's unusual for us to have dimension sizes for a package, but in this case we can pass along that the wooden chest is approximately 8 5/8"w x 6 9/16"h x 4 1/16"d. As you can imagine, this is a limited edition with limited quanties available. Here are the included DVDs:
