Within the past week or so, TNT has begun teasing the second season of Saving Grace, their hot new critically-acclaimed series starring Holly Hunter. This is Hunter's first regular television series, and she came to the role of "Grace Hanadarko" already a winner of many awards that include Oscar, Emmy, Golden Globe and BAFTA; she's a terrific actress. She's joined by co-stars like Leon Rippy (Deadwood), Kenny Johnson (The Shield), Bailey Chase (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Laura San Giacomo (Just Shoot Me!).
With the apparent coming of the second season, we've been asked whether the first season will be coming to DVD soon. The answer is "yes". The show is produced by Fox, so we've been waiting on an official announcement from Fox Home Entertainment, and we hope to see that sometime in the next few weeks with an exact release date and details. In the meantime, gossip on the grapevine tells us to expect Saving Grace - Season 1 to arrive on DVD sometime in early July, just a bit ahead of the second season debut on TNT. Since that season premiere event doesn't have a specific date announced for it yet, Fox could be waiting on that before finalizing their home video plans.
