Following up on our
last news post, it looks like our "theory" about the disc-to-episode ratio of
Saved By The Bell - Seasons 3 & 4 (due on 4/27 from Lions Gate) was correct!
Pavan Badal, one of our most dependable informants (he's a reporter for several entertainment-related websites), put us in touch with Todd Fuller, owner of
SitcomsOnline.com (one of the sites Pavan reports for). Todd had managed to obtain a set of "check discs" for the
S3&4 release, direct from the studio. In case you've never heard the term "check disc" before, it's basically a work-in-progress DVD that the studios create along the way to view the status of the item that's in production. It's not unusual for them to be sent out to reporters for a look-over, either. They are often unfinished, and this set was no different: Todd didn't see the commentary tracks on there yet, which we reported about per the "ShopNBC" website in our last news post (see link above).
But we feel pretty safe to report here that the episodes on this set of check discs Todd received are as follows. It looks like the episodes are paired up, in an effort to re-produce the way the show was broadcast:
