Sanctuary - Exclusive Season 1 DVD Commercial Spot, Rear Box Art, Contents for Syfy Series *UPDATED*

Sanctuary follows the adventures of the beautiful, enigmatic and always surprising Dr. Helen Magnus (Amanda Tapping), her new recruit, forensic psychiatrist Dr. Will Zimmerman (Robin Dunne) and her fearless daughter Ashley (Emilie Ullerup). Together they track down, study and protect the strange and often terrifying creatures that secretly populate our world.

This past June we broke the news that E1 Entertainment is preparing a September 15th release of Sanctuary - The Complete 1st Season. This 4-DVD set features the 13 episodes that ran this past year on the Syfy Channel (previously the Sci-Fi channel), PLUS the original 8 webisodes from 2007, which had been the genesis of the TV series (UPDATE: E1 informs us that the webisodes were originally broken into 8 parts, but on this DVD they are strung together into two segments, in an effort to make them more DVD-viewer friendly). Plus a lot of bonus material, which we've hinted at in our previous report.

We'll have further details about those extras listed on the rear package artwork below, plus we'll likely have even more about them for you later this week, when we bring you E1's official press release for this title. In the meantime, E1 has been gracious enough to pass along some other material, exclusively for our readers! First is our public debut of the 0:30 Commercial Spot which will begin airing on Syfy tomorrow! Following that are two new exclusive pictures of the packaging: one a "beauty shot" of the opened-up box, and the other a look at the rear cover art. At the bottom we have the full-sized front cover for you again, too. I personally haven't had a chance to check out the series yet, but I'm looking forward to this DVD release so I can watch it from the start...it looks GREAT!
