A couple of months ago we
first reported that Shout! Factory is working on developing a box set for
Sam & Max: Freelance Police on DVD. Now Brian Ward, a Producer and Manager of DVD and Home video at Shout! Factory, has
posted an update about this release at the studio's official online discussion forum. In there, he tells us:
- It's planned to be a 3-disc set
- He (Ward) and the set's producer, Frank Mohler, shot a brand new interview with Sam & Max creator Steve Purcell recently at the San Diego Comic Con (Ward says that they're finishing the editing on that interview, and he describes it as "AWESOME")
- They also interviewed the staff at Telltale Games, the software company that is currently releasing Sam & Max PC games
If you read the post over there, you'll see that Ward feels that this is, quite simply, going to be the best release he's ever participated in, and describes it as his "favorite project." Wow. So when do WE all get to see this goodness? Ward states that "
we're several months away from the release date for this set," so it's still going to be a bit. Stay tuned and we'll keep you updated!!
