It's been a couple of months since we
last posted news for Shout!'s upcoming DVD release of
Sam & Max: Freelance Police. Now we've got a terrific update for you: the front cover! Yes, the Steve Purcell-designed front cover art has been revealed by Shout!'s DVD Producer, Brian Ward, over in the
Telltale Games message board.
Brian's posting there because, as you may recall, Telltale Games produces the current
Sam & Max "Season 1" episodic games found on Gametap, and the staff there will be interviewed in a featurette found on these upcoming DVDs. On Shout!'s own message board, Brian describes the package as consisting of a slipcase (featuring the below art) and two thinpaks (holding 3 discs) that will each have exclusive unique illustrations all designed by Purcell, the creator of
Sam & Max. We're still waiting on a release date, so stay tuned for that. In the meantime, here's a look at the fantastic cover art. Our thanks to those who wrote in with the heads-up, starting with reader Ken Christensen.
