After 5 successful seasons on the air, the producers of
Roseanne faced a casting crisis: the actress who played older daughter "Becky," Lecy Goranson, was heading off to college and quitting the show. They held auditions for a replacement actress, and Sarah Chalke landed the role, taking over as "Becky Conner" in the 6th Season of
Roseanne. These days Chalke enjoys immense popularity from her role as "Dr. Elliot Reid" on another hot sitcom,
Scrubs. Around the set, we hear, the cast and crew of
Scrubs have nicknamed her "Becky 2" in honor of the part that got Chalke her big break at the age of 17.

Roseanne - Season 6 comes to DVD on
December 5th. Online retailers such as
Amazon are already taking pre-orders for this set, and now Anchor Bay has confirmed the date for this 4-DVD (575 minute) set. Cost is $39.98 SRP, but Amazon's current pre-sale price is $29.99 at the moment.
Guests and recurring guests who join "Becky 2" this season include Martin Mull, Sandra Bernhard, Michael O'Keefe, Fabio, Vicki Lawrence, James Pickens Jr., Shelley Winters, Florence Henderson, Genie Francis, Anthony Geary, Ahmet Zappa, Mariel Hemingway (in the highly-discussed episode "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," where Hemingway's character plants a kiss on Roseanne!), Ned Beatty, and Dweezil Zappa.
