All 24 Episodes on DVD For The First Time Ever

BURBANK, CA; September 17, 2007 – The final season of the Roseanne series was its most discussed and most audacious: this is the swan song where the Conners sing a different tune. On October 16, Starz Home Entertainment and Carsey Werner will release Roseanne: Season Nine on DVD. This award-winning series was the first to portray a typical working class family with realism and affection. They've come a long way, and their devoted viewers have gone along for the wild, emotional ride. Roseanne: Season Nine will include two 'Tell All' interviews with the Domestic Goddess herself and will be available on a four-DVD set at a suggested retail price of $39.97.

In Roseanne: Season Nine, the Conners return, grown up, grown apart, but at the same time grown closer. Roseanne and Dan, their children Becky, Darlene and D.J. are as temperamental as ever, and even the added years haven't made life's battles any easier. Yet the comedic wit, irony and blue-collar rationale are as sharp as ever – there will never be a dull moment in the Conner household!

For eight seasons Roseanne had been known for its outrageous comedy; but in its ninth year the series went boldly where no series has gone before! This is the infamous season where the Conners win the lottery, Dan ponders the meaning of life, Jackie meets the man of her dreams, Darlene gives birth, Roseanne battles terrorists and, in the final episode, delivers a 15 minute monologue revealing a startling revelation which explains everything! Against a surreal backdrop, this is the year of secrets exposed, romance discovered and memories recalled.

The Roseanne series was always a magnet for the brightest guest stars, and season nine was no different. Marlo Thomas ("Law & Order: Special Victims Unit"), Hugh Hefner ("Las Vegas," "Family Guy"), Jerry Springer ("George Lopez," "The Jerry Springer Show"), Estelle Parsons ("Empire Falls"), Steven Seagal (Black Dawn, Attack Force), Moon Unit Zappa ("How I Met Your Mother") and the "Absolutely Fabulous" girls, Joanna Lumley and Jennifer Saunders, all appeared to bid farewell to America's favorite family.

Nine years. Nine seasons of innovative comedy shining a light on emotions which everyone shared yet rarely discussed. Roseanne herself summarizes her irascible role in this fearless series: "As we leave our protagonist in her living room, completion of her book just managed, she will have a quiet moment alone to think, before she throws the windows and the doors open and steps out into the world to make feminist television history, much as I did."

Carsey Werner has been known globally for almost 25 years as one of the leading independent television studios in the business. With the current hit, "That '70's Show," classics such as "Roseanne," "3rd Rock From the Sun," and "The Cosby Show," as well as a library of award-winning hits that include, "A Different World," "Grace Under Fire," "Cybill" and "Cosby," Carsey Werner programs can be seen and heard in over 175 countries and in 50 different languages.
