Two months ago, Shout! Factory and Nickelodeon streeted at retail stores a general release of
Rocko's Modern Life - Season 1 on DVD, featuring all 13 half-hour episodes of the animated classic program's first production year. Fans have been anxious for word of a follow-up with all 13 episodes of the show's sophomore year, and today
Rocko's creator Joe Murray made
a blog post saying this: "
Rocko season two coming to DVD."
While no timeframe for the release was provided, Murray did say that he'd be "designing and supplying" the artwork to be used on the packaging, and that he'd offered to participate in extras for the title (but nothing's been decided yet). His write-up lists all 13 episodes that fans would expect to be included in
Rocko's Modern Life - Season 2 DVDs, and reveals that the sixth episode, "Rocko’s Modern Christmas," originally was to be called "You Can’t Squeeze Cheer from a Cheese Log." Interesting piece of trivia there!
Below is a screen capture of a portion from Murray's blog. Keep in mind, please, that Shout! Factory has not confirmed the info or announced this title, so nothing is official as of this writing. Stay tuned, of course, and we'll keep you updated. Our thanks to reader Andy Ross for being the first of several to email us about Murray's info!
