Back in June we
had the heads-up from the BBC that
Robin Hood - Season 3 would come to DVD early in 2010, but no specific date had been provided. Today the BBC and distributor Warner Home Video formally announced the title, showing a street date schedule of
January 12th. You'll get a 5-disc set with this final season of the show, running 572 minutes long, at a cost of $59.98 SRP. Video will be in widescreen, and audio is in English Stereo with subtitles available in English for those who need them.
Bonus material consists of Video Diaries, Character Profiles, and 3 Featurettes: "A Legend Reborn: Behind the Scenes," "A New Look: Costuming" and "Trebuchet: Creating Chaos." Audio Commentary is also mentioned as well. You can view an
online trailer for this release, in QuickTime format.
We checked in with the BBC's publicity team, asking about a Blu-ray Disc format release of the second or third seasons, since the first season received a high-definition version. No word yet on those, we're told. We'll certainly let you know if we hear anything! In the meantime, here's a peak at the package art for the
Robin Hood - Season 3 DVD set:
