Over the course of 2003-04, Sullivan Entertainment had released 4
season set DVD releases in Canada, and this past June they have just released
the 5th season of the seven produced seasons of
The Road To Avonlea. The show follows up on the acclaimed
Anne of Green Gables production, based on the classic books by L.M. Montgomery.
In the USA, Disney distributes this property, and back in March, 2004 they issued
a 2-DVD release featuring 8 episodes under the USA title
Tales of Avonlea. Yesterday they announced that there will be a brand-new USA release, consisting of 3 DVDs running $34.99 SRP. Disney's home video arm, Buena Vista Home Entertainment, has not yet revealed exactly what episodes we can expect to see on this item. They have simply said that it will be in the original 1.33:1 aspect ratio and with Dolby 2.0 Stereo sound in English only. Street date is
