Vietnam vet's Cody Allen (Perry King) and Nick Ryder (Joe Penny) are joined by computer genius Murray "Boz" Bozinsky (Thom Bray) to form the Riptide Detective Agency. The series is packed with high-speed chases on land, sea and in the air, an array of wacky gizmos, plus plenty of fiery explosions, shoot-outs and bikini clad women.

Created by Stephen J. Cannell, the mastermind behind classics like The Rockford Files and Adam-12, Riptide was a prime-time TV hit on NBC in the mid-80's, and features renowned guest stars such as George Clooney, Kelly Preston, Geena Davis and Dennis Franz.
Visual Entertainment, Inc. (VEI) has announced a July 29th release of Riptide - The Complete Series on DVD. This 13-disc set contains every episode of the show, running approx. 2700 minutes. Cost is CA$69.95 SRP for this set, which is aimed at retailers in Canada (but will work fine in the USA on any standard DVD player, if imported). Here's a first look at the fun front cover of the box:
