Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver play "Wayne and Dahlia Malloy," gypsy travelers from rural Louisiana. The Malloys, along with their three children, go on the run after stealing money from the extended family bank. An unfortunate accident provides a great opportunity when they obtain the identity of a well-to-do normal family, becoming Doug and Cherien Rich. Seduced by the idea of a bigger life for themselves, and armed with the keys to a new house in a posh neighborhood, they soon find that suburban life is more twisted and challenging than any of their previous stings.
Fox has informed retailers this morning that FX's successful first-season run of
The Riches - Season 1 is coming to DVD on
January 8th. It will be a 4-disc set running $49.98 SRP in the USA and CA$69.98 SRP in Canada. Besides 13 episodes running 616 minutes, expect special features to include Commentary Tracks on the first and last episodes by Star Eddie Izzard and Show Creator Dmitry Lipkin, 9 webisodes from FX.com, a couple of featurettes ("Casting Session" and "World Premiere"), and possibly a gag reel as well (the latter is iffy, and all extras are not yet finalized and could be subject to change).
