We've already had some confusion with
Rescue Me - The Complete 2nd Season and the package artwork, going from the
survey-winning "cast" shot on the front cover to the Leary-centric "falling" artwork that you see below. Now readers such as Nathan Myers have pointed out that there is other confusion, which we hadn't realized, concerning the release date! When we first
posted Sony's announcement, we had the "May 9th" release date that was listed with the fact sheets in multiple places.
A week later, the
press release came out, and it showed "May 2nd." And online retailer DVDEmpire.com has their
pre-order listing showing "May 2nd" as well (but then again they also show the old version of the cover art). Meanwhile, Amazon.com's
presale page says "May 9th" (and contains the correct cover art). So, which is it?
We checked in with the folks at the studio, and Sony has clarified that
May 9th is the correct release date for
Rescue Me - The Complete 2nd Season on DVD. So mark that down on your calendars...we
already have!
