RESCUE ME: THE COMPLETE SECOND SEASON

Available May 2 in a Three-Disc DVD Set Including Exclusive New Featurettes with Producer and Cast

CULVER CITY, CALIF. (February 20, 2006) – The combustible combo of Golden Globe nominee Denis Leary (Ice Age, The Ref) and multiple Emmy Award-winning writer-producer Peter Tolan (TV's "The Larry Sanders Show," "Murphy Brown") return for another season of the top-rated, groundbreaking F/X TV series when Rescue Me: The Complete Second Season debuts on DVD May 2. The set features a blooper reel and five all-new bonus featurettes with the cast and producers. The three-disc DVD includes all 13 episodes and will be priced at $49.95 SRP from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

Rescue Me is an edgy comedy drama that centers on the inner workings of a New York City firehouse and the personal and emotional battles of its members in a post-9/11 world. The intense show focuses on Tommy Gavin (Leary), a senior firefighter who takes great pride in leading the heroic but often overwhelmed firefighters of Engine 62. Gavin manifests the rigors of his job through conversations with his dead cousin Jimmy Keefe, a former firefighter, and the haunting memories of people he has watched perish on the job.

The remaining fire-fighting heroes of Engine 62 include Chief Jerry Reilly (Jack McGee) who, despite being called "The Good Chief," has a serious gambling problem and bets on everything; Sean Garrity (Steven Pasquale), a young, handsome guy who is easier to look at than hold a conversation with; Franco Rivera (Daniel Sunjata), a cocky, Puerto Rican ladies' man; Lt. Kenny "Lou" Shea (John Scurti), a man's man who secretly writes poetry and uses it as a way to release his emotional frustrations; and Mike Silletti (Mike Lombardi), "the probie," who is subject to numerous initiation pranks as he continues his career as a firefighter.

As the second season opens, Gavin's personal life is in shambles, though his dedication to his job is unquestionable. His alcoholism and post traumatic stress disorder continue to escalate, while he tries to cope with a pregnant girlfriend (his dead cousin's widow) and the continuing fallout from the separation from his wife who has disappeared with his three kids.

For its first season, Rescue Me was honored with the Producers Guild of America's 2005 Visionary Award and a Satellite Award for Best Ensemble: Television, as well as Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Writing and Directing. Denis Leary also received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor.
