Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that
Rescue Me - Season 5, Volume 1 is on the way to DVD in a few months with their
September 1st release of a 3-disc set. You'll get 11 episodes on this collection: "Baptism," "French," "Wine," "Jimmy," "Sheila," "Perspective," "Play," "Iceman," "Thaw," "Control" and "Mickey."
It will also come with Extras such as Deleted Scenes, the "Walking Thru Fire: Surviving Season 5" featurette, the "Danny Does Danger: The Stunts of
Rescue Me featurette, a Gag Reel and something with
Sons of Anarchy.
The set runs 451 minutes long, and is presented in anamorphic widescreen video. Audio is English 5.1, and it is closed captioned for the hearing impaired. Cost is $49.95 SRP, but you can
pre-order from Amazon and get your copy locked in at a discount. Package art isn't available just yet, but stay tuned.
