Sony Pictures Home Entertainment hasn't announced it yet, but retailers including Amazon.com have let the cat out of the bag by putting up a pre-order listing for Rescue Me - The Complete 4th Season. The date shown there is June 3rd, which is almost exactly a year from the last release with the third season. Amazon is not taking pre-orders just yet.
Last year's third season set was available at the same time on both DVD and on Blu-ray Disc. What about the 4th season set? Well, we have it on good authority that this season will be DVD only, with no Blu-ray version coming out day-and-date. What's going on with
that? We're not sure, but it's always possible Sony could schedule a BD release of Rescue Me's 4th season for a later date.
There's lots more to learn about this, and we hope to know more later today (in which case we'd possibly update this story, so check back!). If it's not today, though, then it will be next week. Either way, stay tuned and we'll clue you in!
