Back in late February we were first to
tell you that more
Ren & Stimpy DVDs were coming from Paramount Home Entertainment, and now the studio has officially announced the next release. We told you that it was going to include episodes from the 3rd and 4th seasons, and have a weird titles that mentioned a half-season. Turns out our informant was just a bit off, but had the idea right: the actual title is
The Ren and Stimpy Show - Season 3 and a Half-ish.
And just as we told you back then, the street date is
June 28th. The demented cartoon from John Kricfalusi that kick-started the animation craze is presented as a 3-disc collectible box set containing 17 episodes. Join Ren and Stimpy in their bizarre and gross world that features the oddly lovable duo in some outlandish situations coupled with hilarious jokes.
The Ren and Stimpy Show - Season 3 and a Half-ish features the guest voice of comedian Gilbert Gottfried and consists of amusing episodes combined with the gross-out humor that became popular when the show first premiered on Nickelodeon in 1991.
Specs are: Full screen format, Dolby Digital English Stereo, running time 373 minutes. Look for extras like a Commentary by John K. and original animation team. The discounted price in stores is going to be around $30 (around CAN$40 in Canada). Stay tuned for box art; we'll have that for you just as soon as we can!
