Want the 2003
Ren & Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon series on DVD? You might be in the process of getting your wish! A couple of our readers, John Pannozzi and Jake C., have written it to alert us about a posting made to a fansite's discussion board in the past couple of weeks. If you read
the thread in question, you'll see it starts with a poster saying that
"I was talking to John K. a few minutes ago, and yes, he did mention a release for the Ren and Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon coming to DVD this Year. " . Later on in the thread, the poster clarified that the "talk" was via instant message, and that they talk now and then via the internet about animation and so forth.
On the second page of the thread, in Reply #20, John K's father (according to TVTome, he is) Mike Kricfalusi responds to requests for confirmation, and says this (quoted exactly from the thread, including typos):
John is working on the DVD and sprucing it up some like the original DVDS, with rough copies of original input and comments. I beleive some of the other annimators will have some input. I think Best Buy and other retalers will be marketing the DVDs. More news will be comming out later.
Bear in mind that TVShowsOnDVD is unable to verify the info ourselves, as we don't have any direct link to John Kricfalusi, and the studio hasn't made any announcements as of yet. But stay tuned, and if we get any more word about this, we'll be sure to pass it along!
