Remington Steele have been emailing us to ask why Fox has abandoned
Remington Steele on DVD, and it caught us a bit off guard. We traced this rumor back to a customer review on Amazon.com from "George in So. Cal." George says:
I emailed Fox and asked them when the rest of the series was coming out. They said they have no plans to release any more seasons on DVD. Is anyone up for an email campaign?
Unfortunately George was a bit confused by the response Fox gave him. The customer service people usually respond with a generic message about having no plans to release the title at this time, but they'll pass the interest on to the appropriate person. We assume George took this to mean, "We're not putting it out," but is their standard response for an unannounced title. If you email and ask about
The Simpsons Season 8 you'll likely get the same form letter; it hasn't been announced yet, but we all know it's coming.
We called Fox to verify that they were still working on the show, and they said, "Of course!" We should have news about season 3 in the next month or so. Pass on the good news; Fox hasn't ditched your favorite show.
