Early this year, Shout! Factory officially
announced that
ReBoot - The Definitive Mainframe Edition is going to be available tomorrow, March 1st, directly from
ShoutFactoryStore.com (it will probably be available at general retail later on). However, today we've received e-mails from several readers, starting with Ben Scripps (our thanks to everyone who took the time to write!), passing along word from Shout! that the set won't ship on time. Here's what the studio sent to fans that pre-ordered the title:
Dear ReBoot Fan,
Just as we were about to ship your ReBoot: The Definitive Mainframe Edition DVD set we discovered a slight error in Disc 1. The good news is that we have moved megabytes to produce a replacement disc that corrects the error and we will be shipping the replacement disc in the same package with your DVD set. Unfortunately, this has delayed our shipping by a few days. We are doing everything possible to minimize the delay and hope to have all product shipped by the middle of this week. Please accept our apologies.
Thanks for your purchase.
Your friends at Shout! Factory
We've confirmed directly with the studio that this is accurate. It's good to know, however, that any issues were caught and fixed this quickly! Stay tuned and we'll update you further about this situation, if needed.
