A little over a week ago we
posted news showing what we thought was legit packaging for the upcoming
November 20th release of
Queer as Folk - The Complete Series as a 28-DVD set. We had gotten it from a smaller, specialty online retailer, who we are sure also thought they had the correct box art. As it turns out, we quickly got a LOT of e-mail from concerned readers, telling us they knew for a fact that it was overseas box art. Possibly from a bootleg release, at that (a point that was never confirmed, please note). We quickly updated our story with that info.
Now Paramount and Showtime have provided the actual, official package art for
Queer as Folk - The Complete Series, and we've got it for you below. Opinions will vary, but honestly? We don't think too much of the look of it, here. The plain, white box is in stark contrast to the bright, colorful, eye-catching box art of the individual season sets. Ah, well...it's what's inside that counts, right?
