Following up on the release of
Ducktales - Volume 1 earlier this month, Disney/Buena Vista is preparing their announcement for a DVD release of the follow-up 1996 series
Quack Pack. Tony Anselmo continued in the voice acting role of Donald Duck, as he once again takes charge of his nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie. Among the other voice actors in this series (which lasted one season) were Elizabeth Daily (
Rugrats' "Tommy Pickles") and Pamela Segall (
King of the Hills' "Bobby Hill").
Amazon.com has a heads-up listing for a
February 14th release date of
Quack Pack on DVD (thanks to one of our readers, Jake, for spotting it). This isn't a pre-order listing yet (although it will turn into one later on), but if you look it up at Amazon just the right way then it does show an SRP of $14.99, and that Amazon will discount it to $10.49 once they start taking pre-orders. At that price point, this release obviously won't contain as many episodes as the
Ducktales set! We're still waiting on the official studio announcement, though, and when we get it we'll pass it on to you as quickly as possible. Stay tuned!
