FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Puppets Who Kill
Are Sentenced to Another DVD Release
The Best of Season 3 and 4
Available September 21st
Toronto, ON - After a successful run on The Comedy Network in Canada, the best of the third and fourth seasons of
Puppets Who Kill arrive on DVD by popular demand on September 21, 2010 from Video Services Corp (VSC). The two disc set has a suggested retail price of $19.98 and contains 13 episodes selected by founding creator/writer John Pattison and director/producer Shawn Alex Thompson.
It's all here: twisted plotlines, bizarre tales from the trenches of low level criminal-dom, sordid behaviour, questionable ethics, pettiness and small mindedness. All the things you have come to love and respect in this twisted TV series. Join Dan Barlow (Dan Redican of The Frantics comedy troupe), the incompetent and flawed human social worker and his four criminal puppet charges Buttons, Bill, Rocko and Cuddles as they negotiate their way through peril and disaster in every episode.
See them fight mobsters, steal cars, get subjected to Canadian government mind control experiments, give bad advice to TV networks, battle rival houses of puppets, have affairs with wives of unstable jealous men, and go to unbelievable lengths to get back borrowed garden clippers - in other words it's business as usual.
It's everything you have come to expect from
Puppets Who Kill. Badness and mayhem abound. Good judgment...not so much. "We've had such strong response from fans to the DVDs of the first two seasons, and so many requests for more
Puppets on DVD that we felt it was time for a new DVD," said creator/writer Pattison, "and besides, the
Puppets were threatening to key my car if we didn't do it."
Topping off this
Puppets Who Kill extravaganza are six commentary tracks with various people involved in the production of this morally questionable enterprise. You will hear the lame musings, ramblings and occasionally lucid and coherent comments Pattison, Thompson and puppeteers Bruce Hunter, Bob Martin and Jim Rankin. Also get a glimpse into the production process with editor Caroline Christie and sound designer Daniel Pellerin.
