Joe Amodei is the founder of Hart Sharp Video (now owned by Arts Alliance America), which originated the "TV Guide Presents" line of TV-on-DVD releases. One of our long-time readers and tipsters, Brett Fern, has forwarded us some info he obtained while communicating with Joe. One tidbit of info that Brett included was Joe's comments that Arts Alliance America/Hart Sharp has licensed several shows from Universal to put out as part of the "TV Guide Presents" line-up. Some of them, like Banacek, we already knew about. But two new ones were mentioned.
One of those shows mentioned is Project U.F.O.! Wow, I remember watching this 1978 series as a teenager, with creator/producer Jack Webb pulling episode ideas out of the actual Air Force files for the real-life "Project Blue Book" investigations. Years later I would think of this series while enjoying The X-Files...and I wasn't the only one! Many of us have wondered if this show would ever make it to DVD, and now it looks like it will. When?
