Profit - Stephen J. Cannell series heading for DVD in '05!

Waaaaay back in August 2003 we ran a story speaking of television show creator/producer Stephen J. Cannell and his own plans to get his various series put out onto DVD. Thanks to studios like Anchor Bay and Universal, this has started to come true with DVDs already out or just-around-the-corner for Baretta, The Greatest American Hero, The A-Team, Hunter, 21 Jump Street, Wiseguy, The Commish, Silk Stalkings and Renegade.

Cannell told Video Store Magazine, though, that "a favorite of his is 'Profit,' a critically successful show that ran for only four episodes in 1996. 'That's a show that people are still talking about,' said Cannell. The show, 10 episodes of which exist, followed a sociopathic character as he builds a career inside a large company by destroying other people's careers." Now Anchor Bay has announced that they are bringing Profit to DVD in 2005:

This bizarre and highly acclaimed television series only aired for a few weeks before being pulled from the airwaves but its popularity has remained strong and now the entire series comes to DVD in a special collector's series package featuring new interviews, etc and more to be announced. Expect a late Summer release.
