With
Volume 1 and
Volume 2 of
Power Rangers R.P.M. available to buy, fans of the latest incarnation of the long-running show are wondering when more episodes will come to DVD. We don't have a date yet, but we've got word that the 3rd and 4th Volumes of the series are "Coming Soon".
We got that word courtesy of one of our readers, "Khalil", who sent us the heads-up, and the scans you'll find at bottom. Khalil was visiting a location of The Disney Store chain, and spotted a promotional DVD being given away. Khalil says it mainly covers the toy line for next year, but it also has the
Power Rangers R.P.M. episode "In or Out" (the 16th episode, which will most likely appear for sale on
Volume 4). There are also some other bonus features on board, including "Ranger Moves" and "Ranger Lessons" (both featuring the
Operation Overdrive team) and a Sneak Peek of January's return to ABC Saturday Mornings of
Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers...which has
been described as a return (rebroadcast) of the original 1993 series...remastered and with a new logo (and a new toy line in time for Christmas, which is what the promo DVD's preview actually shows, rather than the TV re-broadcasts). Who knows; maybe these reruns will finally lead to some
Morphin' season sets in the USA (since they've been available overseas for a while)?
But the current DVD news here is that the back side of the sleeve for this promo disc mentions that
Power Rangers R.P.M. - Volume 3 and
Power Rangers R.P.M. - Volume 4 are both coming to DVD soon...but exclusively through Amazon.com, and not in stores or other online sellers. Amazon doesn't have any listings for these titles yet, and neither they nor Disney has made details (such as pricing, contents or a release date) available yet. But we'll bring that to you just as soon as we can, so stay tuned! In the meantime, if you're lucky enough to have a Disney Store location near you, then hurry by and pick up one of these promo discs, while supplies last!
